Kat's Halloween story
Hi, everyone! I miss you all! Here's the story of my day yesterday:
Last night was so much fun! We got back from finishing cleaning out the old apartment and turning in the keys, and then we came back and I got the house ready for trick or treaters. My first one was a lady bug! So cute. A small green fairy had a total meltdown on my porch when her mother made her put back all the extra candy she took from the bowl (her mother said she was allowed one and she snatched like 5). It was so awkward and I wasn't sure if I should continue to stand there or slowly back away and shut the door! So we had kids till about 8 and then I think the rain kept them home after that. That was fine because I had to get ready for the Dracula's Ball! Pinned the feather trim to the my gloves while handing out candy, and I was ready to get dressed in my raven costume. Consists of an 18th c corset with feather trim, NF fantail skirt, feather collar, black wings, and gloves with feather trim  Here's Jason! Isn't his face amazing!? He did it with liquid latex, cotton balls and stage makeup.  and here's the happy couple  Do you like my neat purple feather eyelashes? They were so fun! I wasn't watching, and Jason apparently drank an entire bottle of wine in about 45 minutes.  Opps. We haven't even left for the ball yet and J is passed out!   Our friends arrived to pick us up, I woke the sleeping monster, and we went to the ball.  So many amazing costumes this year! Makes such a difference when Halloween is on a Saturday night. I didn't bring the camera, but had my iPhone and my friend took this cool picture We had a wonderful time! We left a little after 1am and Kiki still wasn't there! I'm so sad to have missed her costume this year.
