Great Job! Is it truly black or dark grey - or just a great photographer? Your black trim (appears to be velvet-ee) shows up brilliantly and that just sets it all off to me.

Dixie - I love the contrast too and yes, it is all black but the velvet trim makes the material look grayish in the picture. Up close and without a flash, the material is far darker.

Nope, not me. I wish though. It is a c. 1870-76 day dress made of blue taffeta with woven gray and white stripes. Love that dress! Here it is.....
