Weaver Gal,
That's a cool rig for your little travelers. Our "Louie" doesn't travel well. Even for the fairly short hop to the vet, from the moment I put his carrier on the car seat in the Camaro or the back of the SUV, he starts meowling... LOUDLY, until we park. However, I have learned ONE thing. On the way home, and after he has suffered the combined pain and indignity of an injection and a rectal temperature probe, no matter how loudly, OR continuously, he howls......never feel sorry/guilty about his being "caged" and OPEN THE CARRIER DOOR WHILE DRIVING!! I created a freaking TAN/BROWN TORNADO! After five hundred circuits around the inside of my Camaro with several pauses to stand on the seat with paws on the window ledge (closed, of course) to get "re-freaked" by the world whizzing past his nose, he finally settled down. Well, physically, at least. The 2002 Camaro has a huge, slanted windshield, and thus, a huge, DEEP dashboard. Louie plopped down on the dash, directly on the other side of the steering wheel, and GLARED at me all the rest of the way home, tail lashing back and forth much like the windshield wipers do when activated.... Upon arrival at HIS house, he stepped regally down from HIS car and into HIS dining area. I later discovered that somewhere during his many laps around the inside of the car he found time to leave three small, dark brown "tootsie rolls" in the "trunk area" under the hatch. Fortunately, I found them before they "ripened"..... I haven't stopped laughing yet.... guess you could say I scared the.... (No, I won't go there)... Sweetwater Jack

Jack,

One of my cats is a horrid traveler. I used to put him in the car, drive around the block, take him back to the house, and wash the runny...off him. Last time, I got tranquilizers for him. We made it to the vet and back with no accidents.

Hmmm. That may be the solution.... tranquility! I've obviously been feeding Louie the wrong cat food! Gotta' quit feeding him "Friskies" and switch to "Drowsies".......

See ya at the T/G Summit in 'Vegas, we can swap cat stories......
I'm thinking of doing my "Evil Lee-roy" thing and sitting next to Wicked Felina again..... unfortunately it didn't really annoy Evil Roy.... he even wanted a picture of the two of us together....... hmmmm, gotta work on this.... SWJ

My favorite pastime on a Sunday evening is watching football with Lightning Will and doing cross sums. But my favorite kitty seems to think that she's not getting enough attention so....she plops herself down on my pen and book of puzzles, as if to say, "Hey, back rub please!"

"Hey, I'm NOT moving....rub....NOW!"

Cool

Cute. Our three have a way of doing that too, Lil. Snowball and Mittens tend to do that when you're on the computer. Sit in front of the CPU, then meow at you, and if that doesn't do it, then in front of the monitor or right down on the keyboard. Lucky will generally try to help me take my meds in the morning, this morning he actually grabbed my cup!

I had this old dog bed in the sewing room for repairs after Charlie chewed it up a little. Busy sewing, I did not notice first Archie pulling it down and dragging it around a bit, then Daisy taking up occupancy like she belonged there! Here she is, just as cozy as a bug in a rug....Guess I'd better fix it soon!
