5 Dayton Craft Stores You Must Visit

0

Heliotrope Art Studio and Pearl Shop – When you walk into Heliotrope’s bead store, it’s like magic – wall-to-wall beads in all colors, shapes and sizes as far as the eye can see. The store owner is very knowledgeable and can help you find exactly what you are looking for every time. Mr. Marbles, the store dog, can also help you find the right beads – well, at least the ones in the bottom row. FYI: Héliotrope is cash only. Follow Héliotrope on their Facebook page.

Busy Beaver Arts and Crafts – This local craft store has been around for a while and people love to stop by for every type of craft project. Busy Beaver sells everything from items you’d expect like yarn and beads to more unique offerings like glass and glassworking supplies. Not sure how to get started? They also sell books on several crafting topics to help keep you up to date. Busy Beaver also offers classes – check out their Facebook page for more information.

And if you’re looking for ways to enjoy the DIY movement without having to craft the crafts yourself, check out the latest Third on Season 3 2015 on Sunday, October 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. December 4 and 5 at the Old Yellow Cab Company building.

Whether you’re building a storm or prefer to buy by hand, Dayton has you covered.
