Discover the photos of Philip Venable de Vacaville at The Little Art Shop

BENICIA – Award-winning Vacaville photographer Philip Venable is one of January’s Featured Artists at The Little Art Shop, 129 First St.

Venable has several large photos on display, depicting local and state locations. Venable mainly photographs landscapes but also ventures into the world of abstract and still life.

His last two photos, at The Little Art Shop, were taken during his last road trip. The first is titled “Above the Canyon Wall” and was shot from Inspiration Point at the Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.

Yes, Yellowstone also has a Grand Canyon.

The second photo is titled “Bonneville Sunset” and was taken at Bonneville Speedway after a thunderstorm left a sheet of water on the salt flats, creating sky reflections.

The Little Art Shop is owned by Mary Williams and houses around 30 artists from a variety of disciplines ranging from photography and painting to metal and wood carving, glass and everything in between.

It is located in the Tannery Building near the foot of First Street. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
