Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores to move from Towne West Square to Westgate Market
With some good news for West town square – the convergent call center will take 33,500 square feet of the old Sears space later this summer – there’s some disappointing news too.
Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores, a longtime mall staple, is going to go.
No one with the Ohio-based company is speaking yet, nor with Towne West, but Cristi Howell of JP Weigand & Fils confirms it.
Broker Howell and Weigand Doug Malone managed a deal for Jo-Ann’s new space at Western market to Kellogg and Dugan Road where TJ Maxx and Ross dress for less are.
Jo-Ann Fabric will take 22,000 square feet of the former OfficeMax space out. This leaves 8,236 square feet remaining of the former space of this store.
There are also 11,480 square feet adjacent to the one where City Circuit was. Ross Dress For Less was part of the old Circuit City space.
Look for more information on Jo-Ann Fabric’s move as it becomes available.
