Not your mother’s JOANN fabric and craft stores
The nation’s premier craft and fabric retailer is reinventing the craft and fabric shopping experience at its first-ever concept store in Columbus, Ohio.
The new JOANN store in Columbus brings together a reinvented shopping experience that features cutting-edge technology, dedicated community and learning spaces, and new personalized services.
The strengths of the new concept store include:
â The Creators’ Studio, a large open community space where clients can take classes, organize events and rent machines to work on projects inspired by the latest Pinterest trends while enjoying a cup of coffee
â Modernized cutterbar experience, which allows customers to ‘check in’ and continue shopping until a text message notifies them that a team member is ready to cut their fabric
â The first-ever Craft Creator touchscreen kiosk, featuring popular Pinterest craft projects personalized for customers based on their taste preferences
â Two different concierge services – the first is Sew & Go, a tailor-made tailoring service for everything from tailoring to interior design. The second is Personal Shopper, which offers personalized advice to ensure the buyer’s vision comes to life.
JOANN has been busy this year taking steps to improve its offer to buyers.
Earlier this year, the company launched JOANN +, a program for savvy businesses, organizations and entrepreneurs.
âOur customers have been manufacturing to sell, to donate and to give on a large scale since the first JOANN store opened in 1943,â said Steve Miller, senior vice president of marketing and e-commerce at JOANN. âThis year, we launched JOANN + to better meet their unique needs by offering wholesale ordering and shipping options, dedicated customer service and sales teams, discounts and financing plans, peak pricing. , and more. We are confident that JOANN + will help organizations, businesses and individual sellers keep creativity fluid and even more affordable.
In addition to the initial cost savings, JOANN + members can take advantage of a 5% discount each quarter. The program is also designed to serve large businesses with unique needs, allowing customers to create personalized items through a dedicated sales and product development team.
“This program is about making sure that people who love to do things are able to create in the easiest, most efficient, and cost effective way possible,” Miller said. âWe have heard the needs of our customers who are constantly creating, and we will continue to look for ways to better serve them. “
Along with the JOANN + program, the craft retailer has also recently launched partnerships with organizations such as Girl Scouts of the USA, National 4-H Council and others.
