What can you do with a mannequin? Now take your head out of the gutter. We’re talking about perfectly healthy craft projects using mannequins, dress forms, or mannequin pieces.
Here are some ideas courtesy of Judi Townsend, owner of Mannequin Madness in Oakland, where she sells new and used mannequins to artists, theater companies, museums and more. Discover it Blog for more DIY projects.
1) A dress form makes a sturdy canvas for a crafty air garden. Weave succulents into the mesh of the shapely figure.
2) Echoes of “Goldfinger”. You won’t kill a mannequin if you paint it gold, cover it with an exterior grade clear finish, and add a few decorative items. It makes a pretty garden ornament.

3) Half torso, half Christmas tree!

4) Paint one red and put it spectacularly in your garden.
